Ted McConnon is a member of the 1994-1995 Athletics Hall of Fame class. He came to Saint Anselm in 1946 to re-institute the game of basketball as head coach, starting a long and honored program in the aftermath of World War II.

In three seasons, he posted a 34-22 overall record and dramatically improved his team's fortune each season. He departed Saint Anselm with a 16-7 record in 1948-49, the most wins in one season in team history at that time.
