Darren Clough '96, in his first year of eligibility, was voted into the Athletics Hall of Fame on the second ballot. Clough left Saint Anselm as the men's basketball program's third all-time leading scorer with 1,760 points, averaging 15.6 points per game over his career.

Clough also pulled down 781 rebounds, seventh on the all-time list upon his departure, and ranked third in free throws made (398). His totals of 603 points in 1995-96 and 568 points in 1994-95 ranked fourth and eighth all-time, respectively.

Clough was twice named the Anselmian Athletic Club Athlete of the Year, earning the honor in both 1995 and 1996. He was a First Team All-Northeast-10 Conference selection and the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year in 1995-96.

In that year, Clough also earned NABC Division II All-America status as a second team selection. In 1994-95, Clough garnered First Team All-NE10, NABC All-Northeast Second Team, and All-ECAC First Team selections.

In 1992-93, Clough was named the NE10 Freshman of the Year, as well as the ECAC’s Rookie of the Year. He played on teams that combined for a 92-29 record and captained the 1995-96 team that finished with a 28-3 mark.
