Men’s basketball player Donald Carey ’66, a three-year member of the men's basketball team, captained the squad during his senior season. Playing before the advent of the three-point shot, Carey scored 574 points in 59 games (9.7 ppg) and also pulled down 214 rebounds. He was the team’s Most Valuable Player in his junior season but actually saved his best year for his senior campaign in which he scored exactly 300 points in 20 games (15.0 ppg)
