The best all-around softball player in school history, Lisa Petell ‘99 was a three time All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team at pitcher (1996, 1997, 1999) and a 1999 selection at Second Team as designated player. She was honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as a First Team All-New England Pitcher in 1997 and 1999 and was a Second Team pick at Pitcher in 1998. She was also a New England Intercollegiate Softball Association All-Star in 1997 and an ECAC Division II All-Star in 1996, 1997, and 1999.

Among her lengthy list of accomplishments as a hitter, Petell was the school’s all-time leader in doubles (37) and owned the second best career batting average at .377 at the time of her induction. She ranked second in career hits (167), fourth with 45 career extra base hits, fourth with a .505 slugging percentage, fourth with a .412 on base percentage and eighth all-time with 66 RBI. In 1999, she batted .424, the second-best single-season mark in school history. Her 59 hits and 12 doubles that season are also single-season records. Her 20 pitching wins in 1999 are a season record as are her 10 shutouts in 1996. On the mound, Petell currently ranks second all-time in earned run average at 1.45, first with 61 career wins, second with 93 appearances, third with 65 complete games, first with 25 career shutouts, second with six saves, third with 555.2 innings pitched and second with 633 strikeouts.
