Leslie (Beauvais) Walsh '88, a member of the 2001 Athletics Hall of Fame class, made her mark on the Hawks women's soccer program throughout her four-year career. A team captain in 1988, she was one of the first stars of the fledgling program that began in 1984.

Competing in over 60 games for the Hawks, Beauvais logged 25 career points and scored eight goals with nine points (8-9=25). Her freshman season, Walsh led the team with 15 points en route to becoming the Hawks first-ever Rookie of the Year award winner from the Northeast-10 Conference.

She was named NE10 Player of the Year in 1986, helping Saint Anselm to a 3-2 record against NE10 opponents.

As of 2020, Beauvais is one of only two student-athletes to win four consecutive First Team All-Conference selections by the NE10. She was also a four-time NSCAA First Team All-Region selection.

In 1985, she was recognized for her success in the classroom and was selected for the NE10 Academic All-Conference Team."
