Athletics Hall of Fame
Linda (Pavone) Connly '87, a four-year member of the Hawks women's basketball team, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993. Connly was a well-respected player on the women’s basketball team who was admired by her teammates and opponents.
Connly is recognized for her tenacious skill and aggressive play, playing in 111 games. She had a total of 837 points to rank in the top 15 of all-time scorers upon graduation. She also racked up 464 career rebounds, averaging 4.2 per contest.
The two-time team captain steadily improved her points per game production across her career, but made a dramatic jump in her sophomore season, moving from 2.8 ppg as a freshman to 8.7 as a sophomore. She also chipped in with 193 assists and 129 steals in her career.
