Anthony Greer '64 was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1985. He closed his Hawks basketball career as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,418 points, a record that stood for nearly 16 years.

Greer ended his basketball career at Saint Anselm by being named a small college All-American and by playing in the Divisional All Star Game at Boston Garden. During his sophomore year, Greer lead the men's basketball team to a 17-4 record, earning a selected spot to play in the NCAA small college tournament. At the tournament, Greer was named to the All-Tournament Team due to his superb natural ability.
