Athletics Hall of Fame
Robert "Woody" Stone '54 was inducted as a member of the 1994-1995 Hall of Fame class. During his Saint Anselm basketball career, Stone ruled the basketball court with effortless agility and speed. He played on some of the finest teams in the history of Saint Anselm basketball, and much of the program’s success at this time was because of his presence.
In Stone's three seasons, the Hawks posted a 46-24 record. In the 69 games he played, he not only was outstanding as a defensive player, but also scored 545 points. In the 1952-53 basketball season, Stone was honored by being selected to the All-Boston Garden Collegiate All-Star second team.
