Athletics Hall of Fame
Scott Thomas '86 was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996. The goalkeeper of the men's soccer team during his tenure, Thomas was praised for his dedication and work ethic. During the four years of his play, the Saint Anselm men’s soccer team compiled an overall record of 30-11-2, and Thomas was an integral part of this success.
Thomas was a two-time All-New England selection, a three-time participant in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League All-Star Game, and a three-time All-Northeast 8 All-Star. He recorded 19 career shutouts and the lowest goals-against average in Saint Anselm history at the time of his induction.
His excellence was also rewarded by his selection as an Academic All-American with a Dean's List academic average of 3.2 and a nomination for the prized NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. His senior year, Thomas was recognized at the Sports Awards Ceremony with the college's most prestigious prize, the Saint Anselm Senior Varsity Student Athlete Award.
