Richard Broderick '58 was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1985. He closed his career with 1,234 points on teams that compiled a 63-25 record while serving as captain of his team his senior year.

Broderick was named to Brandeis University's All-Opponent Team. He was also selected for the All-Boston Garden Team while continuing to be among the national Catholic college leaders in field goal percentage. Over his four-year career, he raised himself to the position of the third-highest scorer in the history of the school. Broderick was named the winner of the Lefty Nelson Most Valuable Player Award and distinguished himself as a student and an athlete on the Hilltop.
