Liz (Pelletier) Rickett '87 was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1999. She enjoyed a remarkable four year career with the Hawks women's basketbal team and is considered one of the most important and influential players in the program's history.

Pelletier was a model of consistency, playing in 112 of 113 possible games (a program record at the time) and was a key member of a program that posted a 74-39 four year record including a 33-23 mark in conference play.

Her influence also helped bring the Hawks program to the next level. Her junior year, Saint Anselm caught the league by surprise as the Hawks finished with an 11-3 record, tying for first place and qualifying for the conference championship game. The team went on to the ECAC Championship that same season.

A natural scorer, tenacious rebounder and deft passer, Pelletier compiled 1,193 points, the third highest in Hawks history at the time, and she became at the time just the third student-athlete ever to notch 1,000 points.

Season-wise, she notched more than 300 points for her final three seasons, more than 100 assists twice and more than 45 steals three times. She led the team in minutes played in each of her final three seasons.

Her career average of 10.7 points per game placed her fifth at the time and her 364 career assists made her the new program all-time leader upon graduation. Her defensive skills were also evident in her 177 career steals which placed her second all time in the category at the time of her graduation. To this day, Pelletier remains among the top ten players in all of those categories.

Pelletier earned First Team All-Northeast-8 honors her junior and senior year. She was an ECAC Division II All-Star and was awarded a number of weekly conference and regional honor roll selections. Named team Most Valuable Player her senior year, she later received the prestigious Maine Sports Hall of Fame President's Award in recognition of her college career and was cited as one of Maine's finest basketball exports.

Her coach at the time, Donna Guimont, who coached for 20 years on the Hilltop and was one of the most respected coaches in the NCAA, was quoted saying at the time that, "Liz Pelletier is the best guard we've ever had here at Saint Anselm."

Pelletier graduated with a degree in computer science with a business emphasis and graduated in the top 25% of her class.
