Kris Tardio '00 posted 1,726 points and an impressive 156 steals during a four-year career with the men's basketball program. A two-time NE10 Second Team honoree, he would go on to captain the team in 1999-00 where the Hawks won the NCAA Division II East Region Championship and played in the team's first-ever Elite Eight.

He finished his career with two NCAA Division II Tournament appearances and was only the fourth-ever NE10 Freshman of the Year pick from Saint Anselm and remains the program's lone NABC Freshman of the Year selection. A key offensive weapon from beyond the arc, Tardio poured home 256 three-point baskets to rank seventh in program history.

Tardio reached 600 points only eight games into his sophomore campaign and in one of his most memorable single-game performances, he scored a career-high 30 points against Saint Michael's on Feb. 16, 1999, clinching the 1998-99 NE10 Regular Season Championship and handing Head Coach Keith Dickson his 250th career coaching victory.
