Athletics Hall of Fame
Kerri Lang '91 was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997 for her exceptional play for the women's basketball program. Lang, a two-time team captain, never missed a game in her four seasons at Saint Anselm, holding a program record of 116 games.
She scored 976 total points in her time on the Hilltop and made 87.6% of her career free throw attempts, setting the NCAA record across all divisions upon graduating. At the time of induction, she held the college's record in the free throw category and held the record of 44-straight foul shots made.
The Hawks program reached some its greatest successes during Lang's tenure. The team she anchored played in two Northeast-10 Conference finals and the NCAA Regional Championship games in both 1990 and 1991.
In the 1991 NE10 Championship game, she was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. She was the also the recipient of a number of honors in recognition of her skills including being named to the NE10 All-Conference Second Team in 1991 and Player of the Week Awards in 1989 and 1991.
Her 546 career assists and 268 career steals are the second-most in team history to date. Her 194 assists in 1989-90 remains the single-season Hawks record.
