Athletics Hall of Fame
Cheryl (Bourgeois) DeSisto '87 is a member of the 1994-1995 Athletics Hall of Fame class. In her four-year collegiate career at Saint Anselm, under her mother as head coach, DeSisto played number one singles and number one doubles in intercollegiate play.
During her tenure as the college's top player, DeSisto carried her team to 40 victories from 1983-86 while losing only 11 contests. She recorded 29 wins in number one singles and established a school record of 25 wins in doubles play.
In her senior year, DeSisto was a finalist for the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. She also served a stint as Head Coach of the women's tennis program, leading the team to a 7-4 record in 1987-88.
Academically, DeSisto earned All-Academic Team honors from the Northeast-10 Conference in 1985.
