Athletics Hall of Fame
Chris Ayers '84, a member of the Hawks men's soccer team, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1990. As of 2020, Ayers ranks in a tie for sixth place all-time with 77 career points (32-13=77) and served as a team captain in 1983.
Ayers led the Hawks in goal and point scoring for four years and was the team's first-ever NSCAA All-America selection, earning Second Team honors in 1983. He was also one of the first to earn Northeast-8 Conference postseason recognition, securing First Team NE-8 merits in 1982 and 1983.
Head Coach Ed Cannon described Ayers, a two-time All-New England selection, as ""one of the very best, one of the most skilled players"" that he had ever seen.
