Athletics Hall of Fame
Russell Bastin '50, a men's basketball standout, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1992. In his four-year career, Bastin scored 837 points in 77 games for an average of 10.9 points per contest. At the time of induction, he held one of the most prestigious Saint Anselm basketball records with his 44-point performance against American Int'l in 1948, a record that held up until the 2001-02 season
Bastin played on some of the most successful Hawks men's basketball teams, collecting a record of 51-29 over his four seasons.
