Despite never having run cross country or track & field in high school, Kara Molloy '92 became one of Saint Anselm's finest cross country runners during her time on the Hilltop.

After focusing on her academics as a freshman, Molloy evolved into a champion runner by her senior year. As a sophomore, she finished in the top four in every race, before going on to be her team's top finisher in 13-of-14 races in her final two seasons.

As a senior, she finished as the individual champion on two occasions, was second once, third once (Northeast-10 Conference Championship) and placed 17th at the NCAA Regional on her way to First Team All-NE10 honors. The year before, she finished 10th in the NE10 Championship and earned a spot on the All-NE10 Second Team.

Molloy was instrumental in helping the Saint Anselm team reach new heights, as the Hawks never finished below second place in the NE10 during her three years. The Hawks also won their own Shacklette Invitational for three-straight years and won seven team titles during her career. Molloy won the Shacklette individual title in 1991 while setting a new course record at the time.
