The most accomplished female soccer player to don a Saint Anselm uniform at the time of her induction, Caroline (Sheeran) McDermod ‘99 is currently the program’s all-time leader in points (142) by more than double the second highest-ranked player. She ranks first in both career goals (61) and game-winning goals (16). Her six game-winning goals in 1995 are equal to the career output of the next player on the school’s career list. She owns the top-three single-season scoring marks (44 in 1998, 42 in 1997, 33 in 1995) as well as the top-three season goal records (20 in 1998, 18 in 1997, 12 in 1995).

Her list of accolades is lengthy. She was the 1998 Saint Anselm Female Athlete of the Year and was a four-time All-Northeast-10 Conference performer with three First Team selections (1995, 1997, 1998). In each of those three seasons, she was also an NSCAA All-New England Second Team pick. In her senior year, she went on to be named a First Team All-New England selection by the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association. She was also the NE-10 Freshman of the Year in 1995 and also earned MVP honors of the ECAC Division II Tournament that same season.
