Saint Anselm College

Daniel Heffernan, ’93 is one of the finest cross country runners and student athletes to come through Saint Anselm. A four-year member of the cross country team, Heffernan was the team’s top finisher in 20 of 30 races throughout his career while winning two individual races and setting a pair of course records. He had 12 top 10 finishes in his career and qualified for the NCAA Regional in all four of his seasons.

He was a three-time member of the All-Northeast-10 Conference team, earning First Team honors in his freshman and sophomore seasons. Heffernan was also the NE-10 Rookie of the Year in 1989-90. He earned the Saint Anselm male Student-Athlete Award as a senior and was also named to the All-Academic NE-10 Second Team that season.
