Athletics Hall of Fame
David Gavin '83 was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997 for his premier play on the Saint Anselm men's ice hockey team. He played in every game of his career (98 games) and was named team co-captain in both his junior and senior years. As a junior, Gavin was the team leader in total point with 16 goals and 39 assists for 55 points in only 20 games.
Again in his senior year, Gavin was the team's leading scorer with 18 goals and 43 assists for 59 points, ranking among the highest in a season at Saint Anselm. He completed his career with a total of 56 goals and 112 assists for 168 points - he remains fifth all-time in career point scoring on the Hilltop.
Gavin's 112 career assists are the second-most in team history.
