Ed King '76 was a four-year player at the forward position for the men's ice hockey team. King appeared in 77 total games with career point totals of 44 goals and 44 assists for 88 points.

His best season came as a senior when he notched 15 goals and 30 points. He never finished with less than 23 points after his freshman campaign, increasing his assists total in three consecutive seasons.

He was part of a Hawks squad that compiled an overall record of 53-39-1 over his four years. Frank Harrington, the former head coach of the Hawks men's ice hockey program, stated that he “had no better left wing during his time at Saint Anselm."
