Men’s basketball player Kevin Tynan ’90 is one of the program’s all-time great play-makers at the point guard position. His play made him the lone Saint Anselm player to earn a Coaches’ Award twice while also winning a Team Most Valuable Player Award. He was also named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team in 1990.
His 694 career assists ranked first all-time for a period and his 248 assists during the 1987-88 season was the second-highest single season total in team history. He later added 243 assists during the next season, posting what was the third-highest single season mark.
