Steven Gulla ‘88 was the men’s tennis team’s top player for his final three seasons at the Hilltop. He played No. 1 singles for three years and was still the school’s all-time leader in singles wins with 33 at his time of induction. An All-Northeast-10 Conference player, team Most Valuable Player and two-time team captain, Gulla boasted a winning percentage of .673 in singles across all flights.
He also ranked second all-time in doubles wins with 26. Despite his prowess during his last three years, his best season statistically came as a freshman, when he posted a perfect 9-0 record at No. 2 singles play while advancing to the New England Championships semifinal round.
