Maura (Devine) McShane ‘88 was a four-year member of the tennis program and arguably the best player in school history at the time of her induction. She is currently the school’s all-time leader in singles wins with 37 and maintained a remarkable winning percentage of .822. Behind her strong play, the Hawks boasted a 38-13 mark during her four years. She is also fifth all-time in school history with 21 doubles victories.

The remarkable thing about Maura was her stunning consistency, says Director of Athletics Ed Cannon. From her freshman season to the time she graduated, Maura produced quality matches and found ways to win. She finished with at least 10 singles victories in three different seasons. Her best campaign came as a sophomore when she went 11-0 in singles play and 6-1 in doubles.
