NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Senior
Tatum Forbes picked up her second career Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Week honor, the league announced on Monday.
Saint Anselm went 2-0 this past weekend, defeating Molloy University, 63-51, on Saturday before besting Queens College (N.Y.), 71-68, on Sunday. The Hawks played both games on Queens' campus as part of the ninth annual Knights Thanksgiving Invitational.
Forbes has helped lead Saint Anselm to a 4-0 start to the season, its best start since 2019-20 when the Hawks began the year 7-0. In Saturday's win over the Lions, Forbes scored her 1,000th career point, leading the Hawks with 23 points and nine rebounds with three assists, and one steal. Forbes shot 8-13 from the field and went 7-7 from the free-throw line.
In Sunday's comeback victory over the Knights, Forbes filled up the stat sheet, scoring 15 points with nine assists, eight rebounds, and two steals. Forbes leads the conference in scoring at 20.8 points per game and ranks second in assists at 5.5 per contest. Forbes also ranks fourth in the NE10 in rebounding at 7.0 per game. Her 20.8 ppg and 5.5 apg lead the Hawks while she ranks second on the team in rebounding.
This marks her second NE10 Player of the Week honor, the first for her since January 2, 2024. Her 48.3% mark from the field (28-58) has her ranked eighth in the conference in shooting percentage. Forbes' 37.0 minutes per game ranks first in the NE10.
Forbes and the Hawks close out a three-game road trip with its Northeast 10 Conference opener at Saint Michael's College (3-1, 0-0 NE10) at the Ross Sports Center in Colchester, Vt., on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 5:30 p.m.
