NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's track & field team was voted second with one first place vote in the 2026 Northeast 10 Outdoor Coaches' Poll, released on Thursday afternoon. The Hawks have advanced one spot in the poll from last outdoor season when they tied for third.

The Hawks are coming off a big indoor season, placing second in the NE10 Conference Championship for the first time in program history. In the championship, the Hawks were represented on the podium in five different events, with first-place finishes in the high jump and 4 x 400m relay.

After taking time to reset, the team is eager to begin the outdoor season following last week's opener at the SNHU Spring Open.

Junior Sophia Morin delivered a breakthrough performance last week, hitting the provisional mark in the women's javelin and becoming the first woman in program history to qualify for NCAA nationals, tossing 42.25m.

Senior captain Rebecca Cady continues to make waves heading into the outdoor season, after breaking another program record last week in the 100-meter, running 12.19.

The Hawks will next compete on Saturday, April 11 in the Ed Daniels Classic, hosted by SNHU at the Mark A. Ouellette Stadium.
