Hawks Claim Four Event Titles and Set Five Program Records at Wildcat Invitational

DURHAM, N.H. – The men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by the University of New Hampshire on April 24 and 25. The Hawks performed well across both track and field events throughout the weekend, earning first in four events and setting five program records.  

Men's Field

  • Freshman Andrew Henaghen started off the meet strong with a first place finish in the javelin which he competed in on Friday. The freshman tossed 58.57m to set yet another program record.  

  • Sophomore Parker Gleckman set a program record while earning third in the triple jump, reaching 13.35m. 

Men's Track

  • Lombara showed out in the 100-meter dash with a second-place finish, crossing the finish line at 10.92. 

  • Sophomore Leo Sheriff earned gold in the 110 hurdles, timing in at 14.66 to set a program record.  

Women's Field

  • Junior Harmony Marquez continues raising the standard for the second week in a row with another top finish in the javelin. Last week at the George Davis Invitational, the junior set a new program record and hit the provisional mark, this week, she earned first-place in the javelin, throwing 39.79m on Friday. 

  • Senior Brianne Rett earned a top-five finish in the discus to set a school record at 37.38m. 

  • Freshman Alaina Morris placed fifth in the pole vault, clearing 3.10m.  

  • The Hawks were well represented in the triple jump with freshman Mackenzie Hibbert jumping 11.06m to place second, and junior Ava Houle behind her in fourth at 10.99m. 

Women's Track

  • Freshman Sophia Guzman finished fourth in both the the 100-meter and 200-meter, crossing the finish line at 12.42 and 25.56. 

  • Sophomore Petrina Ofori timed in at 15.23 to earn a top-five finish in the 100 hurdles.  

  • Junior Gracie Flynn competed in the steeplechase and set a program record at 12:31.21. 

Up Next

The Hawks will compete next week in the Northeast 10 Conference Championship on May 1 and May 2 which will be hosted by Southern Connecticut State University.
