NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Highlighted by senior Quinn Gannon, who was named Faceoff Specialist of the Year, 10 members of the Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team earned Northeast 10 All-Conference honors, as announced Monday morning.
Gannon, along with his major award, was named to the All-NE10 First Team, alongside sophomore attackman Matt Lemay. Sophomore attackman Ben Turpin, sophomore midfielder Eddie O'Brien, senior short-stick defensive midfielder Brendan Crowley, and sophomore defenseman Johnny Lucas made up the Second Team honorees while junior midfielder Mark Boyle and junior defenseman Jake Klepacki were named to the Third Team. Freshmen Dylan Bankowski and Nick Burns, a defenseman and attacker, respectively, earned spots on the All-Rookie Team.
Over 12 games, Gannon went 179-for-257 on faceoffs, winning just under 70% of his draws, while also scooping up a team-high 118 ground balls. In the process, he broke the program record for most ground balls in a career with 338. His dominance was particularly evident in key matchups, including a 25-for-29 performance at Assumption and multiple games with 16 or more wins at the X. The Scituate, Mass. native ranks first in the NE10 in faceoff percentage at 69.6% (minimum 100 attempts) and first in ground balls per game (9.83).
Lemay, after earning both Player and Rookie of the Year honors in 2025, finished the regular season with 30 goals and 20 assists for a team-leading 50 points across 12 games. He recorded a point in every contest and finished sixth in the conference in goals per game (2.50). The Westminster, Mass. native opened the year with back-to-back six-point outings against Frostburg State University (3G, 2A) and Bentley University (3G, 3A), setting the tone for his season. He found the back of the net multiple times in nine games, including a five-goal performance in a comeback win over Pace University and a four-goal, five-point effort at Assumption University. As a playmaker, he registered multiple assists in five contests, highlighted by a four-assist showing at Molloy University.
Turpin put together a stellar sophomore campaign, producing 61 points in 12 games on 46 goals and 15 assists. He recorded at least one goal in every game and had multiple goals in 11 of 12 appearance to finish top in the conference in goals per game (3.83) and points per game (5.08). The Groveland, Mass. product opened the season in dominant fashion with four goals and two assists against Frostburg State, then followed with another 4-goal, 2-assist performance at Molloy. He continued to pile up points throughout March, including a 7-goal, 2-assist explosion against Franklin Pierce University and a 9-point outing versus Assumption where he scored eight goals and added an assist. He scored three goals and added an assist against Saint Michael's College, then posted four goals and one assist in a narrow loss at No. 1 Adelphi University. He delivered one of his most balanced games against American International College with five goals and three assists for eight points. He closed the regular season with goals in each of his final three games, including three goals and an assist against Southern New Hampshire University and two goals with an assist versus Pace.
O'Brien registered 24 points in 12 games with 19 goals and five assists. The Franklin, Mass. native recorded at least one point in every game and scored a goal in all 12 contests. He recorded hat tricks on two occasions, helping the Hawks take down Bentley in non-league play with three goals before adding another three-goal performance in an NE10 win over Franklin Pierce.
Crowley secured 25 ground balls, tied for third-best on the squad, and notched three caused turnovers while registering one goal. The senior from Leicester, Mass. registered a season-high five ground balls in a 13-11 win over Saint Michael's and added four ground balls in a 9-7 victory over Bentley.
Lucas put together a 20-ground ball, 8-caused turnover sophomore season while also registering one goal and one assist as a defender. The Peabody, Mass. native was tied for third on the team in the caused turnover category. His presence was especially felt in a narrow victory over Saint Michael's in which he posted four ground ball pickups and caused three Purple Knights' turnovers.
Boyle totaled 30 points, the third-most on the team, over 12 games on 21 goals and nine assists. He provided a balanced scoring presence, averaging 1.75 goals per game while also contributing nearly an assist per outing. The Reading, Mass. native recorded points in 11 of 12 games and had multiple points in nine contests. The junior posted a hat trick on three occasions to help the Hawks to wins over Bentley, Saint Michael's, and AIC.
Klepacki put together a strong junior season, notching 20 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers over 12 games. The dozen turnovers forced were second-best on the team. He began the campaign with seven ground balls and five caused turnovers through the opening two contests. The East Longmeadow, Mass. native went three games recording at least a pair of caused turnovers and six games registering two ground balls or more.
Bankowski tied Crowley with 25 ground balls over 12 games played while adding eight caused turnovers, one goal, and one assist. The Hamden, Conn. native shined in wins over Mercy (five ground balls) and Pace (six ground balls, three caused turnovers). He had six games with two ground balls or more and registered two-plus caused turnovers on two occasions.
Over 11 games played, Burns had a strong finish to his rookie season to earn the All-Conference recognition. After four contests without registering a point, the Westford, Mass. native added at least one point in six of the final seven games of the campaign to finish with seven goals and four assists. Burns notched multi-point performances in wins over Franklin Pierce (1G, 1 A), Saint Michael's (2G), Southern New Hampshire (2G, 1A), and Pace (1G, 1A) and tacked on eight ground ball pickups.
The Hawks are currently ranked No. 3 nationally in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Poll and, after posting a 7-1 record against conference opponents, earned the No. 2 seed in the NE10 Championship will host third-seeded and No. 12 nationally-ranked Pace University on Wednesday, April 29 in the semifinal round at Grappone Stadium. The opening draw is slated for 4 p.m.
