HOOKSETT, N.H. – The No. 3 nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team earned a 13-6 Northeast 10 Conference victory over Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday night at Mark A. Ouellette Stadium.

- Sophomore Ben Turpin led the Hawks with four points, coming from a hat trick and one assist. He also added one ground ball.
- Junior Mark Boyle and freshman Nick Burns each registered a pair of goals and one assist and secured a pair of ground balls.
- Sophomore Eddie O'Brien logged a pair of assists and one goal to go along with three ground balls.
- Junior Ryan Weller scored twice and picked up one ground ball.
- Senior Aidan Webb recorded a pair of assists while classmate Tyler Vigeant registered a pair of caused turnovers and ground balls.
- Senior Quinn Gannon went 16-for-17 (94.1%) on faceoffs while securing a team-high nine ground balls.
- Junior goalkeeper Finn Granara made seven saves over 54:17 of play in between the pipes before senior Naish Kelly made one save in the final 5:43.
- Saint Anselm outshot SNHU, 38-14, and convincingly won the ground ball battle, 41-15.
- The Hawks went 15-for-16 (93.8%) on clear attempts.
- Saint Anselm now holds a 25-10 advantage in the all-time series against the Penmen, which dates back to the 1994 campaign. The Hawks have won the last 12 games over Southern New Hampshire, with half of the victories coming on the road.
How it Happened
The Penmen struck first in the opening 3:55 to take an early lead. The Hawks responded with back-to-back goals coming from senior Charlie Dean and Turpin. SNHU responded with a goal later in the frame to tie the score at 2-2 before Saint Anselm went on an 8-0 run spanning 33:55 of action over three quarters to take a 10-2 lead with 14:09 left in regulation.
Sophomore Matt Lemay scored his lone goal of the contest nine seconds into the second half, marking his 100th career point.
SNHU cut the Hawks' lead to seven before three consecutive goals from junior Nathan Alberti, Weller, and Turpin put the game out of reach, with Saint Anselm comfortably in front by 10 goals.
Despite three Penmen goals in the final 5:43 of the contests, the Hawks held on for the victory.
