Warren Posts Impressive Round as Hawks Compete in First Round of Penmen Season Finale

CONCORD, N.H. — Junior Brady Warren fired a four-under 68 and sits tied for second overall, pacing the Saint Anselm College men's golf team following the opening round of the Penmen Season Finale hosted by Southern New Hampshire at Beaver Meadow Golf Course on Friday.

Twelve teams competed on the par-72, 6,364-yard course, with the Hawks sitting in third place after 18 holes with a team score of 286 (-2). Adelphi leads the field at -13, followed by Dominican (N.Y.) at -3, with Saint Anselm just one stroke back. Post (-1) and Southern New Hampshire (+1) round out the top five.

Assumption's Ryan Willey leads the individual rankings as he tallied six birdies and an eagle to shoot a 66 (-6).

How it Happened:
  • Warren carded a 68 (-4), highlighted by a strong back nine to move into a tie for second place, sinking six birdies.
  • Sophomore Nick Nowak turned in a 70 (-2), finishing tied for seventh with an even split of 35 on both the front and back nine, making four birdies.
  • Sophomore Brandon Vitarisi matched Nowak with a 70 (-2), also tied for seventh after closing with a 33 on the back nine, tallying five birdies.
  • Sophomores Jack Murray and Riley Reardon shot a 78 (+6) and an 82 (+10), sitting in 60th and 68th place following the opening round.
