ORLANDO, Fla. — The Saint Anselm women's golf team played the second and final round of the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational hosted by the Hawks at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Tuesday.
Saint Anselm, Adelphi, and Franklin Pierce closed out play on the 5,801-yard, par-73 course, with the Panthers leaping the Ravens in the standings to win the event. Adelphi combined to shoot a 314 (+22) on Tuesday, finishing with a total of 636 strokes (+52) while Franklin Pierce shot a 341 (+49) in the second round, finishing at +65 for the week. The Hawks totaled 345 strokes on both days, closing out at a team total of 690 strokes (+106) to place third, while Adelphi's B team placed fourth at +139.
How it Happened
- Freshman Isabella Scioletti had the top individual finish amongst the Hawks, placing ninth out of 22, finishing at +23 for the week. She shot an 86 (+13) on Tuesday after shooting an 83 (+10) on Monday.
- Freshmen Carley Iannetta and Bianca Ligotti had the best rounds of the day for the Hawks, shooting 83s (+10) as Iannetta finished in 12th at +27 and Ligotti tied for 13th at +28.
- Senior Lydia Tufts led the Hawks on day one and tied with Ligotti for 13th place after shooting a 93 (20) on Tuesday, combining to go 28-over par for the week.
- Freshman Cailin Foley moved up four spots in the rankings from day one to day two, finishing in 18th place at +56.
- Sophomore Ella Graham and senior Hope Marcou rounded out the Hawks, with Graham shooting a 109 and Marcou shooting a 106 on Tuesday.
