CANDIA, N.H. — The Saint Anselm women's golf team hosted the first of two rounds of the Hawk Spring Invite at Candia Woods Golf Links on Wednesday.
 
Saint Anselm, Franklin Pierce, Assumption, and Bentley competed on the 5,865-yard, par-71 course, with the Ravens leading after the first day of competition, combining to shoot a 327 (+43). The Hawks placed second after day one, shooting a 341 (+57), with Bentley in third at 342 (+58), Assumption in fourth at 370 (+86), and Saint Anselm's B group in fifth at 422 strokes (+138).
 
How it Happened

• Four Hawks finished in the top-10, led by freshmen Bianca Ligotti and Isabella Scioletti, who are tied for fourth with 83 strokes (+12). Scioletti led the Hawks with two birdies in the opening round.
• Freshman Carley Iannetta tied for eighth, shooting an 87 (+16), and senior Lydia Tufts was close behind with an 88 (+17).
• Leading the Hawks' second group of golfers was senior Hope Marcou, who finished with a 101 (+30), tying sophomore Ella Graham, who also shot a 101.
• Senior Abby McGonigle finished at 106 strokes (+35), followed by freshmen Isabella Fernald at 107 (+36) and Cailin Foley at 108 (+37).
