CANDIA, N.H. — The Saint Anselm women's golf team came in third place out of five teams as the Hawks hosted the final round of the Hawk Spring Invite at Candia Woods Golf Links on Thursday.
 
Saint Anselm, Franklin Pierce, Assumption, and Bentley competed on the 5,865-yard, par-71 course, with Bentley winning the two-day tournament, finishing at +95. Franklin Pierce finished a stroke behind the Falcons at +96, while the Hawks came in third at +114. Assumption shot 163 strokes over par to place fourth, and the Hawks B group finished at +255 in fifth.
 
Bentley's Isabel Gonzalez won the tournament, shooting a 74 (+3) yesterday and a 73 (+2) on Thursday, finishing at 147 (+5). Gonzalez won the event by 12 strokes as Franklin Pierce's Lorelai Flanagan finished at +17.
 
How it Happened

• Freshman Isabella Scioletti led the Hawks, placing third overall, shooting a 79 (+8) with two birdies, the second-best individual round of the day, totaling a 163 (+20).
• Freshman Bianca Ligotti tied for fourth at +25, shooting an 84 (+13) in the second round with two birdies.
• Freshman Carley Iannetta placed 10th, shooting an 84 (+13) as she combined to shoot +29 this week, and senior Lydia Tufts placed 14th as she totaled 282 strokes (+40) this week.
• Freshman Cailin Foley improved on yesterday's score by 12 strokes, leading the B group at +62 for the week after shooting a 96 (+25) on Thursday.
• Senior Abby McGonigle also had a solid improvement, shooting seven strokes better than Wednesday as she shot a 99 (+28) to close out the tournament at +63.
• Sophomore Ella Graham finished at +65, shooting a 106 (+35) on the final 18.
• Senior Hope Marcou shot a 103 (+32) on Thursday, and freshman Isabella Fernald shot a 117 (+46) to round out the Hawks.
