Saint Anselm College

Tara Watt is in the midst of her fourth season with the Saint Anselm College women's golf program in the 2025-26 season. Watt is the first head coach in program history, as the program began before the start of the 2022-23 academic year.
 
A decorated amateur golfer in the Granite State, Watt is a two-time New Hampshire Women's Golf Association State Champion, winning in 2011 and most recently in 2020. In 2020, 2021, and in 2025, Watt won the NHGA Women's Mid-Amateur Championship and was honored with the prestigious NHWGA's Player of the Year award in November 2021.
 
Additionally, Watt has competed at the USGA Women's Mid-Amateur Championship twice, including this past October in 2025, competing against the top female amateur golfers ages 25 and older in the country.
 
An active member of the New Hampshire Golf Association's (NHGA) Board of Directors since 2019, she has also served a stint on the New Hampshire Women's Golf Association Board of Directors from 2015-19. Watt came to the Hilltop after five years at Southern New Hampshire University as the institution's Assistant Women's Golf Coach.
 
With her guidance, the Penmen improved from a sixth-place finish at the 2016 Northeast-10 Conference Championship to as high as third in 2018. Watt also coached the league's Rookie of the Year award recipient in 2017 and, in total, seven student-athletes earned All-Conference honors from the NE10 from 2016-20.
 
Watt is a 2005 graduate of Gardner-Webb University where she was a member of the women's golf team and an active participant on the institution's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2009 and is presently employed by Control Technologies, Inc. as a Service Account Manager.
