BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Saint Anselm College women's golf team completed its first two-day tournament of the season on Sunday, finishing 13th at the Polar Bear Shootout, hosted by Bowdoin College at Brunswick Golf Club.
The Hawks finished the 36-hole tournament at +90 with a team score of 674 after carding rounds of 332 and 342.
How it Happened
- Sophomore Isabella Scioletti led the Hawks throughout the weekend, carding matching rounds of 82 to finish at +18 (164) and tied for 67th individually. Scioletti recorded three birdies during her opening round before adding another birdie and eight pars on Sunday.
- Sophomore Carley Iannetta finished four strokes behind Scioletti at +22 (168), placing 72nd overall. Iannetta opened the tournament with an 83 before carding an 85 in the final round. She recorded four birdies across the two rounds.
- Sophomore Bianca Ligotti also opened the weekend with an 83 before shooting an 86 on Sunday to finish at +23 (169) and tied for 73rd. Ligotti recorded three birdies during the tournament, including two during Saturday's opening round.
- Freshman Lilla Zeevalk made her first appearance in a two-day collegiate tournament, finishing at +28 (174). Zeevalk opened with an 85 before shooting an 89 in the second round to finish tied for 78th.
- Sophomore Alaina Morris posted the largest improvement by a Hawk between rounds. After opening with a 97 on Saturday, Morris cut 13 strokes off her score with an 84 on Sunday to finish 84th at +35 (181).
- As a team, Saint Anselm posted its best round of the weekend on Saturday with a 332 (+40) before closing the tournament with a 342 (+50) on Sunday.
