ORLANDO, Fla. — The Saint Anselm women's golf team opened spring play with the first round of the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational hosted by the Hawks at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Monday.
Saint Anselm, Adelphi, and Franklin Pierce competed on the 5,801-yard, par-73 course, with the Ravens leading after the first day of competition, combining to shoot a 308 (+16). The Panthers placed second, shooting a 322 (+30), with the Hawks in third at 345 (+53), followed by Adelphi's B group at 361 (+69).
How it Happened
- Senior Lydia Tufts led the Hawks on day one, shooting an 81 (+8) with one birdie on the 10th hole.
- Freshman Isabella Scioletti had a solid opening round, finishing with 83 strokes (+10) with a team-best two birdies on the fourth and ninth holes.
- Freshmen Carley Iannetta and Bianca Ligotti finished a stroke apart, with Iannetta shooting a 90 and Ligotti shooting a 91.
- Sophomore Ella Graham finished the day with a 94 (+21) that included a birdie on five, while senior Hope Marcou and freshman Cailin Foley rounded out the Hawks' competitors, shooting 103 and 104.
