MANCHESTER, N.H. – After being named the Northeast 10 Conference's Player of the Week on Monday, sophomore attacker Matt Lemay of the Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team was named to both the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's and United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's Teams of the Week.
The Westminster, Mass. native posted five goals and seven assists to lift Saint Anselm over two ranked opponents. In a 10-6 win over No. 10 Bentley University, he posted a hat trick and three assists before recording two goals and four assists in a 16-9 win at No. 12 Molloy University.
Lemay currently ranks third in the NE10 in points per game (5.67) and tied-third in assists per game (3.00) through three contests.
Lemay and the Hawks (3-0) are ranked No. 3 in the USILA Poll and will take on Mercy University (4-1) next Wednesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. on the road.
