NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Sophomore attacker Matt Lemay of the nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team was named the Player of the Week by Northeast 10 Conference on Monday afternoon following two standout performances in a pair of road victories for the Hawks last week.
The Westminster, Mass. native posted five goals and seven assists to lift Saint Anselm over two ranked opponents. In Wednesday night's 10-6 win over No. 10 Bentley University, he posted a hat trick and three assists before recording two goals and four assists in a 16-9 win at No. 12 Molloy University on Saturday.
Lemay currently ranks third in the NE10 in points per game (5.67) and fifth in assists per game (3.00) through three contests.
The Hawks (3-0), are ranked third in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Poll and will head back to The Empire State to face Mercy University next Wednesday, March 18 at 2 p.m.
