KEENE, N.H. — Freshman
Isabella Scioletti came in third place out of 23 golfers to lead the Saint Anselm women's golf team at the Franklin Pierce Invitational at Keene Country Club on Thursday.
The Hawks came in third place, shooting a 356 (+68) as a team, led by Scioletti's strong play. Bentley won the one-day tournament, combining to shoot a 342 (+54) with Assumption coming in second at 350 (+62) and Franklin Pierce coming in fourth with a 363 (+75).
The four Northeast 10 (NE10) women's golf programs competed on the Par-72, 5,924-yard course at Keene CC. The individual winner on the day shot a 77 (+5), as Bentley's Isabel Gonzalez-Villarreal tallied two birdies en route to the win.
How it Happened:
- Of the seven golfers Saint Anselm had competing on Thursday, Scioletti led the pack, shooting an 80 (+8) on the day, tying her second-best round of the season, as she came three strokes from the top spot, placing third overall.
- Classmate Bianca Ligotti and senior Lydia Tufts both finished with rounds of 91 (+19) strokes, tying for 13th place.
- Freshman Carley Iannetta shot a 95 (+23), and classmate Alaina Morris was one stroke behind at 96 (+24).

Saint Anselm women's golf will compete in the Kansas City Cup hosted by William Jewell College at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri, on Monday and Tuesday next week.
