Women’s Soccer Debuts at No. 17 on United Soccer Coaches Poll

11/5/2025 11:48:00 AM

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Saint Anselm College women's soccer team made its 2025 debut in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll on Tuesday, ranking as the No. 17 team in Division II.

This is the first time the Hawks have been ranked since the 2023 season, when they reached No. 23 in the country on October 3, 2023. Saint Anselm recently clinched the Northeast 10 Regular Season title, clinching home field advantage and a first-round bye in the NE10 playoffs. This is the highest ranking for the Hawks since they ascended to as high as No. 15 on October 27, 1997.

This is the first regular-season title for the Saint Anselm women's soccer program since 1994 and the second in program history. Head coach Lee Moyce achieves the feat in just his first season leading the Hawks.

The Hawks are 10-2-2 overall and 7-0-1 in NE10 play, remaining undefeated in conference contests with one game remaining in the regular season. This would be the first undefeated finish for the Hawks in NE10 play since the 1994 season, when the Hawks went 8-0-1.

The Hawks' current six-game win streak is the second-longest in program history, trailing only the 1997 team, which won nine straight. Saint Anselm is ranked second in the East Region behind No. 10 Jefferson University (11-1-1).

Against ranked opponents this season, the Hawks are 1-2-2, having defeated No. 25 Adelphi while tying No. 22 Franklin Pierce and No. 20 Wilmington (Del.). The Hawks fell to No. 11 Jefferson and No. 20 Mercy in their other two ranked matchups.

The Hawks will close out their regular season at 2 p.m. this afternoon at Melucci Field against Southern New Hampshire University. Saint Anselm is set to host an NE10 Semifinal playoff game on Thursday, November 13, at Melucci Field as the No. 1 seed in the tournament.
