MANCHESTER, N.H. – Sophomores
Kaitlyn LeBrun (Natick, Mass.) and
Meghan Deneen (Marlborough, Mass.) of the Saint Anselm College women's soccer team earned spots on the 2025 Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2 CCA) All-East Region Teams, the association announced on Tuesday.
LeBrun was named to the All-East Region First Team as a defender, while Deneen earned a spot on the All-East Region Second Team as a midfielder. LeBrun's newest honor comes after being named to the Northeast 10 All-Conference First Team while also being named the NE10 Championship's Most Outstanding Player.
LeBrun anchored a Hawks back line that allowed the fewest shots on goal in the league (76 in 18 games; 4.2 per game). She also scored in the 2-2 draw at then-No. 20 Wilmington (Del.) on Sept. 12, while starting all 18 contests.
Deneen, who was also named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team earlier today, was selected to the NE10 All-Conference Second team after an impressive sophomore season. Deneen paced the Hawks with eight goals and 21 points while tacking on five assists. Her goals and points ranked within the top ten in the NE10, and she also ranked in the top ten for both shots and shots on goal while starting all 18 games for Saint Anselm this season.
Deneen's season was highlighted by the championship-winning penalty kick in the NE10 Finale over Franklin Pierce to give Saint Anselm its first conference title since 1991. She was also awarded NE10 Player of the Week once this season.
The Saint Anselm women's soccer team finished up their season on Sunday, Nov 23, with a loss in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, falling 2-1 to No. 11-ranked Jefferson. The Hawks' 2025 season saw them win the program's second-ever NE10 Championship, with first-year head coach
Lee Moyce being named NE10 Coach of the Year and ten players being named to NE10 All-Conference teams.
