12/10/2025 11:18:00 AM

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Nina Muir and sophomores Kaitlyn LeBrun, Meghan Deneen, and Catherine McCarthy of the Saint Anselm College women's soccer team earned spots on the 2025 Division II United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Teams, the organization announced on Tuesday.

LeBrun, Muir, and Deneen were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region First Team, while McCarthy earned Third Team honors. LeBrun adds to her already extensive collection of postseason awards, as she's now been named to the Northeast 10 All-Conference First Team, NE10 All-Tournament Team, the NE10 Championship Most Outstanding Player, and D2 CCA All-East Region First Team.

LeBrun anchored the Hawks' defense that allowed the fewest shots on goal in the league (76 in 18 games). She also netted a goal in the 2-2 draw at then-No. 20 Wilmington (Del.) on Sept. 12, while starting all 18 contests

Deneen earns First Team accolades after already being named to the Northeast 10 All-Conference Second Team, D2 CCA All-East Region Second Team, and College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.  Deneen paced the Hawks with eight goals and 21 points while tacking on five assists. Her goals and points ranked within the top ten in the NE10, and she also ranked in the top ten for both shots and shots on goal while starting all 18 games for Saint Anselm this season.

Deneen's season was highlighted by the championship-winning penalty kick in the NE10 Finale over Franklin Pierce to give Saint Anselm its first conference title since 1991. She was also awarded NE10 Player of the Week this season.

Muir picks up a First Team selection from the United Soccer Coaches after an impressive offensive season for Saint Anselm. The senior forward from Southington, Conn., added the accolade after earning NE10 All-Conference Second Team honors earlier this fall. Muir ranked second on the team with 14 points, scoring six goals with two assists. Two of the six goals proved to be game-winners, and Muir appeared in all 18 games with 10 starts.

McCarthy earned Third Team All-Region honors on Tuesday, adding to her NE10 All-Conference Third Team nod after a great season on the defensive side of the ball for the Hawks. McCarthy started all 18 games, tallying one assist, and was an integral part of Saint Anselm's championship and NCAA tournament runs.

The Saint Anselm women's soccer team finished up their season on Sunday, Nov 23, with a loss in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, falling 2-1 to No. 11-ranked Jefferson. The Hawks' 2025 season saw them win the program's second-ever NE10 Championship, with first-year head coach Lee Moyce being named NE10 Coach of the Year and ten players being named to NE10 All-Conference teams.
