Carroll, Connolly Earn NE10 Weekly Honors

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Junior Cam Carroll and freshman Sean Connolly of the Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team earned weekly awards from the Northeast 10 Conference following a 1-0-1 weekend against cross-town rivals Southern New Hampshire University.

Carroll posted a .964 save percentage and a 0.96 goals against average over a 1-0-1 weekend, which included a 33-save performance in Friday night's 1-1 tie, to earn the title of Goaltender of the Week. The Putnam Valley, N.Y. native has now won six NE10 weekly awards in his career.

Connolly, named the Rookie of the Week, recorded his first collegiate goal in Saturday night's 9-1 rout of the Penmen to go along with two assists to finish with three points. The Canton, Mass. native posted five blocked shots and finished the weekend with a +3 on-ice rating.

Carroll, Connolly, and the Hawks (1-4-1, 1-2-1 NE10) will return to action for a weekend series at Franklin Pierce University (4-2-0, 3-0-0 NE10), beginning on Friday, Nov. 21. Puck drop from the Jason Ritchie Ice Arena is set for 7:00 p.m.
