WINCHENDON, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey team was defeated in a road Northeast 10 Conference clash against Franklin Pierce University on Friday night at the Jason Ritchie Ice Arena, falling by a final score of 4-2.
How it Happened
The Ravens took a 2-0 lead 6:06 into the first period as they scored tiwce in the span of 2:05, including a shorthanded goal.
Saint Anselm cut its deficit down to one goal just 5:42 into the second as senior Garrett Alberti scored on the power play on an entry feed from freshman Alec O'Connor.
Coming out of the second intermission still trailing 2-1, the Hawks tallied an even strength goal to tie the game up with 7:50 remaining in regulation as senior Cam Collins put home a rebound chance.
After a Saint Anselm penalty, Franklin Pierce found of the back of the net with the man-advantage with 3:30 to play, before adding an empty-netter in the final seconds to seal a two-goal victory.

The Hawks (1-5-1, 1-3-1 NE10) and Ravens (5-2-0, 4-0-0 NE10) will face off in the series finale on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7:00 p.m. back at Ritchie Arena.
