WINDHAM, N.H. — The Saint Anselm College women's golf team had the lowest team score (295; +55), led by senior
Lydia Tufts, who shot a 69 (+9) as the Hawks won the New England Fall Classic hosted by Gordon College at the Windham Country Club on Saturday.
Saint Anselm, Gordon, and Saint Joseph's College (ME) played 15 holes, with the lone round of play being cut short due to lack of sunlight on the par-72, 5,980-yard course. The overall par ended up being 60 strokes, with the final three holes not being played. Gordon finished the day with 346 strokes (+106), and Saint Joe's placed third at 375 (+135).
How it Happened
- Tufts tied for first on the individual leaderboard, shooting nine-over-par through 15 holes.
- Freshman Carley Iannetta came in third place at +13 with 73 strokes, while classmate Isabella Scioletti finished one spot behind with 75 strokes (+15).
- Freshman Bianca Ligotti finished fifth overall at +18, and freshman Cailin Foley and senior Abby McGonigle tied for sixth place with each other as the pair shot 83s (+23).
- Sophomore Ella Graham rounded out Saint Anselm's seven golfers, all placing in the top-10 on Saturday, as Graham shot an 88 (+28).
