NORTH ATTLEBORO, MASS. - Senior goalkeeper David Hood of the Saint Anselm College men's soccer team earned Northeast 10 Conference (NE10) Goalkeeper of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.

Hood's second goalkeeper of the week honor of the season, the third of his career, comes on the heels of a 1-0-1 week of conference play, as the Hawks held their competition scoreless. Saint Anselm defeated Assumption on the road, 1-0, before tying American International, 0-0, in a scoreless draw.

In Wednesday's NE10 win at Assumption, Hood made seven saves, marking his fifth shutout of the season. Hood has started in all four of the Hawks' wins this season as Saint Anselm surpassed its win total from a season ago.

Hood tallied a season-high eight saves in Saturday's shutout against AIC at Melucci Field, as his record on the season is now 4-3-5, including a 1-3-2 record in conference play. He now has six shutouts on the year, tied for the most in the NE10.

Hood leads the conference with 68 saves and a .895 save percentage. His 5.67 saves per game ranks second in the league, while his .675 goals against per game also ranks second in the NE10. He has also played the most minutes in net in the conference at 1,066:40.

Hood and the Hawks continue Northeast 10 play when the Hawks host No. 2 Southern New Hampshire (8-1-2, 4-1-1 NE10) at Melucci Field on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 3 p.m.
