Men's Cross Country Secure 8th Place at James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College men's cross country team secured an 8th-place finish at the James Earley Invitational on Saturday hosted by Westfield State University.

UP NEXT:
  • The Hawks will compete in the last regular season meet on Friday, Oct. 13 at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds hosted by Franklin Pierce University. 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Junior Steven Cormier (Reading, Mass.) led the pack in the varsity 8K race capturing 41st place with a time of 27:04.44. Right behind him was sophomore Neil Harrington (Malden, Mass.) clocking in a few seconds later to take 42nd place. 
  • Senior Chris Hogan (Plymouth, Mass.) finished with a time of 27:32.52, good for 59th place, while classmate Tyler Scopelites (Litchfield, N.H.) posted a 27:42.37 to claim 64th place. 
  • Finishing in 73rd place was graduate student Alex Horan (Clifton, Va.) with a time of 27:53.31. Rounding out for the Hawks was sophomore Brandon LeBlanc (Wrentham, Mass,), senior Tyler Scopelites (Litchfield, N.H.), Senior Adam Wong (Westminster, Mass.)
HAWKS SPOTLIGHT:
  • "The men had a great day which came from racing together and motivating each other," said sophomore Neil Harrington (Malden, Mass.). "We are looking forward to locking in for the next couple weeks to have a great day at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship."
