SOUTHWICK, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's golf team completed the two-day Northeast-10 Conference Championship at the Ranch Golf Club in sixth place.
The Hawks shot a 407 on day two, finishing sixth in the league to round out its fall calendar of events. Saint Anselm announced the sport of women's golf in August 2021 and Monday capped what was a successful first fall semester for the Hawks under Head Coach Tara Watt.
Sophomore Nicole Butkus (North Hampton, N.H.) led Saint Anselm with an 88 on day two, posting a birdie on the 106-yard par three 17 to help her team-low score. Freshman Lydia Tufts (Auburn, N.H.) was not far behind with a 90, matching Butkus' two-day total of 181 to finish tied for 21st.
Senior Annabelle Smith (Paxton, Mass.) shot a 102 on day two, finishing with a 202, and freshman Abby McGonigle (Braintree, Mass.) rounded out the scorers for Saint Anselm on the day.
