NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Northeast 10 Conference released the fourth week of outdoor track & field weekly honors on Tuesday afternoon. The release recognizes sophomore Logan Montgomery as Track Athlete of the Week, while freshman Gavin Lombara earned his second Rookie of the Week honor of the outdoor season. 

Last week, both the men's and women's track & field teams competed in the George Davis Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell at the Cushing Field Complex. Montgomery and Lombara both had impressive showings earning podium finishes in each event they competed in. 

This marks Montgomery's first weekly award of the outdoor season after earning men's Track Athlete of the Year for the NE10 in the indoor season. On Saturday, the sophomore competed in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races. He placed second in the 100, timing in at 10.82 and first in the 200 at 21.21 to set a program record. 

Lombara was honored as Rookie of the Week in the first release of the outdoor season. In his second week of competition, the freshman ran in the 4x100-meter relay and 110-meter hurdles in the Ed Daniels Classic, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University and placed second and third in those events. On Saturday, Lombara ran in the 400-meter at UMass Lowell and hit a mark of 55.00 to earn first-place in the event and place a new program record for the Hawks.

The Hawks are set to compete in their last regular season meet on Saturday, April 25 at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by the University of New Hampshire at the Wildcat Stadium.
