Three Hawks Receive NE10 Weekly Honors in First Week of Outdoor Season

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Northeast 10 Conference released its first edition of the outdoor track & field weekly awards for the 2026 season. The release features two members of the Saint Anselm College men's track & field team with freshman Gavin Lombara and junior Logan Guttadauro as Rookie and Field Athlete of the Week, respectively, while one member of the women's track & field team, junior Sophia Morin, was named Field Athlete of the Week. 

Both teams opened their outdoor seasons at the SNHU Spring Open on Thursday, March 26 at Mark A. Ouellette Stadium on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University. 

Guttadauro was named Field Athlete of the Week after his strong showings in the hammer throw and discus. He tossed 46.68 meters in the hammer throw, posting a program record and earning third place overall. He also set a PR in discus, posting a distance of 35.54 meters. 

Lombara earned his first weekly award after competing in the 100-meter hurdles and 100-meter dash, earning first-place in both events. The rookie set a new program record for the Hawks in the 100-meter at 10.64, and placed a personal record with a time of14.90 in the hurdles. 

Morin was honored this week after etching her name into the Saint Anselm record book and becoming the first woman to hit a provisional mark in program history. The junior earned a first-place finish in the javelin with a toss of 42.25 meters to make school history. 

The Hawks will continue their spring slate this Thursday, April 2 at the Merrimack Alumni Carnival at Duane Stadium on the campus of Merrimack College.
